I get the following bug in master.  I set up a nanoparticle:  Au,
click  'apply', and the nanoparticle appears.  Then I remove some
layers using the spinbuttons and click 'apply' again, but it does not
update the nanoparticle.  (Or maybe it updates the nanoparticle, but
it does not use the newly adjusted number of layers.)
