Also where I work, we are not quite ready to drop Python 2.  We have 
some HPC clusters that are on CentOS6 with Python 2.6.  Maybe there is a 
way to get a more recent Python on CentOS6, I don't really know.

How do people feel about dropping Python 2.6?
