[ase-users] ASE 3.16.0 released

Dear all,

ASE 3.16.0 is now available [1].

The most important changes are listed in the release notes [2].
(These may still be labelled "master" until tomorrow or so.)

This release was originally planned for more than a month ago, but
things got sidetracked in order to include some more improvements.
For example some of the functionality of the GUI that was removed
during the tkinter port has been reinstated due to popular demand.

As always, please do not hesitate to report any trouble with the release.
