[ase-users] Administrative message: Migration of listserv.fysik.dtu.dk on December 15

Dear users of the mailing list server listserv.fysik.dtu.dk,

This is an administrative message about this mailing list server.  You are 
subscribed to one or more mailing lists on the mailing list server 
listserv.fysik.dtu.dk, see https://listserv.fysik.dtu.dk/mailman/listinfo

There will be a scheduled downtime of listserv.fysik.dtu.dk on:

  * Tuesday, December 15 2020 from 09:00 (CET in Europe) for 2-3 hours.

The reason is that all functions of this server will be migrated to a new 
server on the central DTU university network.  All mailing lists, list 
memberships, and list archives will be copied over to the new server.

You should be able to send E-mail messages to the lists as before, and 
your mail-server should deliver them to the new server (perhaps with some 
delay).  The new web-server's homepage will only be available after the 
migration.

When the migration has been completed, I will send out a new message to 
the lists.  If you have any problems sending or receiving mailing list 
messages following the migration, please send mail to my E-mail address 
(shown below in the signature) including all available error messages.

Technical information:

The server listserv.fysik.dtu.dk uses the GNU Mailman [1] software.
The mail and web services on https://listserv.fysik.dtu.dk will be moved 
from the old IP-address 130.225.86.29 to the new IP-address 192.38.87.144, 
and all Mailman data will be migrated.  The DNS A-record for 
listserv.fysik.dtu.dk will be pointed to the new IP-address after the 
migration has been completed.  The DNS system [2] has some timeouts 
meaning that the old (invalid) IP-address may still be cached at your site 
or in your computer for up to an hour after the migration.
