Why not try a Skype voice conference call instead? The client works
well on Mac / Windows. Not sure about Linux. We frequently have
conference calls across three time zones without a problem
(Stanford,ANL,DTU).

Hi!

Last week there was some discussion (at a workshop in Helsinki) about 
how to improve coordination of GPAW development.  It was decided to have 
a monthly IRC meeting and the first one will be

   Tuesday, November 29, 16:30-17:00 (UTC+1, Denmark time)

The idea is that everybody interested should show up, and we will talk 
about what is going on at the moment, who is working on what and so on.  
The meeting will be logged and someone will write a summary for the 
mailing list.

The agenda could look like this:

* Who is who
* What's going on
* Status of different projects

I have no idea how this is going to work.  Let me know if you have ideas 
for how to run such a meeting.

The meeting will be on the #gpaw channel at irc.freenode.net.  You can 
already go there now if you have GPAW questions - although some things 
are better to bring up on the mailing lists.
