Dear all,

ASE 3.14.0 has now been released. This version adds 1057 commits by 60 authors.

The new version can be installed/upgraded using pip:

  https://wiki.fysik.dtu.dk/ase/install.html#installation-using-pip

(Web page should hopefully update at some point soon, probably in 10
hours, so it actually corresponds to 3.14.0)

Some significant changes are:

 * Methods of Atoms objects that deal with angles now use degrees consistently.

 * ASE command line tools are now based on a single command with subcommands:

      ase gui
      ase help
      (etc.)

 * Trajectory files and the GUI can now handle sequences of Atoms
objects with different lenghts and compositions.

 * Python2.6, being frightfully old, is no longer supported.

See the release notes for more information on these and many other changes:

  https://wiki.fysik.dtu.dk/ase/releasenotes.html

Please do not hesitate to report any problems when installing or using
the new version.

Thanks to everyone who contributed!

Best regards
Ask
