That's strange, I haven't seen that before.  Which version of Ubuntu are 
you using?  After installing, it should put ag and testase.py in /usr/bin 
plus any other scripts specified in the distutils installer.

The doc directories are not included as they are not part of an actual 
"install" (as defined by the standard distutils installer).

It would be worth considering an ase-doc and a gpaw-doc package for the 
next release.
