Hi,
The field enhancement is calculated relative to the incident electric
field strength (see the earlier message). So, as long as you calculate
with other approaches the field enhancement in the same way, and stay
within the linear-response regime, then the field enhancements should be
comparable in principle.
However, for such a comparison, it is important to note that the
obtained field enhancement values depend on the used broadening
parameters ("folding" and "width"), analogously to how the spectrum
depends on them. So, these parameters should be chosen appropriately for
the comparison to be meaningful.
Best,
Tuomas
